Friday, September 7th 2007, Mark took calls to pick the new Mr. Friday Afternoon due to the the untimely death of the previous Mr. Friday Afternoon, Glenn Gilberneti. Mark offered to take calls and the fifth caller would become the new, Mr. Friday Afternoon. Somehow fate stepped in, and occasional caller Joe from Belleville won the title. Each week we get the astute American football prognostications of the wise and witty Joe from Belleville.
R.I.P. Mr. Friday Afternoon, Glenn Gilberneti. Not much is known about his untimely death reportedly happening while he was on the air with Mark in ‘06. A photo has been submitted of the ill fated crash the took the life of Glenn. Eye witnesses claim that Mr. Friday Afternoon was traveling through Western Pennsylvania town of Meadville when his vehicle was struck by a errant wrecking ball that had suddenly detached from a nearby demolition crane. Ironic since often Mark criticized Glenn’s appearances on the show as demolishing the tempo of his show.
When friends and family of Mr. Friday Afternoon were asked for comments, they were quoted as saying; “It’s none of your business.”
